Hi, I’m Dan, the General Manager and co-owner. I believe a tattoo is more than just ink—it’s a story and a lasting piece of identity. For the past 15 years, I’ve studied the art of tattooing and drawn inspiration from legends like Guy Aitchison, Mario Barth, Lal Hardy, and Sailor Jerry. As General Manager, I work to ensure every client’s experience reflects the same artistry and professionalism our team brings to their craft. When you walk through our doors, I’ll be the one helping you schedule, answering your questions, and checking in to make sure you love your tattoo long after your session. For me, great tattoos are just the beginning of the conversation.

I had such a positive experience at Liquid Color Tattoo! The space is clean and very inviting. Clarke did an amazing job with all of my tattoos and was patient and professional with me through the whole process. They were a pleasure to work with. I would highly recommend them and this shop if you’re looking for a great tattoo experience in Fort Collins!

From consult to tattoo, the entire experience at Liquid Color was amazing. Dan, the owner, and Clarke, my artist, were both so friendly and made sure I ended up with a tattoo that I loved. I’ve gotten tons of compliments on Clarke’s line work, and it’s healed up great. Highly recommend!

One of the best tattoo experiences I've ever had. And multiple things made it this way
1. The shop is CLEAN which is a must for a good tattoo shop
2. The atmosphere was inviting
3. Every person I met was kind, friendly, and welcome
4. And likely most important, Clarke, my artist was kind, funny, a phenomenal artist, and went out of their way to not only make the tattoo of my dreams reality, but also to make me feel comfortable and heard through every step.
I have a plethora of tattoos done across quite a few shops in quite a few states and cities and I could not have asked for a better experience.

Lexy was so amazing! She executed me and my mom’s coordinating tattoos so well, made all the minor changes I requested and even had her pup in during my appointment! gifted with a tattoo from clarke, who is the coolest most awesome tattoo artist i have received a tattoo from! my fiance also got a tattoo from clarke before i did which secured my wanting to work with clarke because i sat in on their wonderful session and got to see how beautiful their work is!

liquid color tattoo studio provides the most calm, comfortable, down-to-earth and fun environment to get a tattoo in. lexy and dan (owners) are super friendly, informative, and personable.

I had a wonderful tattoo experience with Lexy! She was accommodating, professional, and attentive. I loved the design she presented and loved it even more once my tattoo was completed. The studio is bright and welcoming and clean! I was very comfortable during the tattooing, and I appreciated Lexy incorporating Reiki into the process. My tattoo has healed beautifully with little to no oozing, scabbing, or discomfort. I would definitely have work done with Lexy again.

I got a gorgeous fern tattoo from Clarke! It's healing very well, the lines are super sharp, and the shading is perfect. Since I was there for about five hours, the owners also got me some food and gave me a care kit at the end of my appointment! Absolutely wonderful people and amazing talent, I'd highly recommend them to anyone who wants a comfortable and professional tattoo experience :)

i got my first ever tattoo here and it was such a lovely experience! in my consultation lexy gave me a very thorough explanation of the process of getting a tattoo, including many of the medical things to look out for. in her words, they approach giving tattoos as "micro surgery". clarke was my artist, and they were so kind and funny and talented. the studio is very clean and relaxing, and i hear they have a dog in sometimes ;). also dan was super helpful with scheduling. so yeah if you want to get a tattoo in fort collins go here!

My first time at Liquid Color, but my favorite experience getting a tattoo so far. Clarke is passionate about their work, great to communicate with, and makes you feel comfortable when getting a tattoo near intimate areas of your body. Clarke took my design concept and did a fantastic job interpreting what I wanted and creating something that was perfect for what I envisioned. Can't recommend them enough, and looking forward to going back for my 2nd session!

Absolutely the best tattoo place in town. My artist Lexi did a outstanding job. It's exactly what I wanted as a tribute for my late wife. It's a shame, than I'm moving to Missouri, but when I get my next tattoo I am definitely traveling back.

tl;dr: they are honestly good people in a clean environment, that are dedicated to getting you exactly what you want done. 1st time tattoos went amazingly well, left knowing more than i arrived. great experience. Chill about queer people place.

my parter wants to add that they were respectful of boundries, conversative to keep us comfortable and willing to be not conversative if that was more comfortable, and that it was a fun experience.

quick note: tattoo cost covers not only the tattoo, but two alterations of design, and an aftercare kit.

there are 6 tattoo shops near our house alone that don't hold a candle to this level of care, chill calm energy, cleanliness, attention to detail, informative and friendly staff. no hesitations or doubts or regrets.

The details:

it was my partner's birthday yesterday and she wanted to get a tattoo that was coordinated. she found Clarke on tiktok and liked their work when we hunted down their website. we drove from colorado springs to Colorado to go to the place they're a part of - Liquid Color Studio to get our tattoo done.

we set up an appointment with Dan, the Manager. Very chill, friendly, communitive, informative. He helped us lock in the appointment on the right day despite barely 2 week notice.

the consultation with Clarke was set up over video call to accommodate that we didn't want to make a long trip 2 weeks due to having too many other obligations. they're a really cool person and intentionally or not their last name plays as a pun. love that for them. they explained everything about the process of getting a tattoo and after care, and answered all our questions. we measured the area and promised to have mock ups of our requested design by the day before so we could go over any adjustments.

my partner knew exactly how and where she wanted the tattoo. i had. a vague idea and a bad logo looking thing.

day before, first thing in the morning, we got our mock ups of the deisgn. my partner's was exactly what she wanted and Clarke had gone above and beyond to give me a couple of different options.

when we got there the very small dog quality inspector Ada greeted us. Both Dan the Manager and Clarke the Tattoo Artist had warned us. My partner loves animals but dog smell really bothers her. They offered to keep Ada away but that wasn't necessary. Ada is very friendly and does not smell like dog. possibly due to the shops clear dedication to cleanliness, Ada does not smell like dog. my partner got to pet her and was very pleased.

Clarke had papers with the designs sized slightly different ways, we figured out together what would work best and they fixed a kerning issue in the text (font we chose design flaw) on the spot and also were really nice about my partner changing her mind on placement when she saw how it would end up looking in the original location.

We did not realize what a pain in the ass font we chose going in. this isn't something they said and this isnt an observation of a struggle - they did it smoothly - this is actually seeing and learning the process and understanding that a lot of sharp corners and small lines is a challenge.

clarke was really detail oriented and both tattoos came out perfect.

this was both our first tattoo and we were neverous but committed. pain was actually inconsequential it turned out, and your brain doesn't know theres many needles involved and while different people vary in pain tolerance and location matters, both me and my partner will be going back to this shop and this artist without any hesitation.

i cannot over emphasize the cleanliness. its not just your body being prepared correctly or a show of cleaning up the workspace.

i work as a supervisor over custodians and i myself have done cleaning professionally for over six years.

the place was kept clean.

I got 2 of my first professional tattoos here last month and I’m so glad I came here of all places! They’re so welcoming, and friendly, and I just yapped with Sydney and Clarke the whole time they were doing my tattoos.
For my first tattoo, I got one of Sydney’s flash tats, and she absolutely killed it! I love it so much and the placement is perfect.
For my second one, I made an appointment with Clarke to cover up a small tattoo that I’ve been wanted to get covered for YEARS, and their sketch and execution were perfect. I’ve gotten a lot of compliments on it already.
Their attention to detail is crazy, and they constantly make sure you’re comfortable. I’ll definitely be coming back for another tat soon 🫡
Also, Dan at the desk is so good at his job. He reaches out post-tattoo and makes sure everything is going well, and is always so kind.

Clarke did an amazing job! My mom and I got matching tattoos and the care, and thoughtfulness that went into the experience was fabulous. Lexy and Dan are great, and made sure we were comfortable!

Came back and Lexy did an arm tattoo that I have been wanting, and it turned out wonderful! The experience was amazing.
