Avoid Alcohol, Drugs, and Caffeine
Please refrain from consuming alcohol, using recreational drugs, and limit or eliminate caffeine intake at least 24 hours before your appointment. Even small amounts can increase bleeding during the session and affect healing. We reserve the right to reschedule if you arrive under the influence or altered in any way. If you have concerns about managing pain or fear, please reach out to us beforehand.
Hydrate in Advance
Start drinking plenty of water at least one week before your session. Hydrated skin is more receptive to tattoos and heals faster!
Eat and Stay Hydrated
Make sure you have eaten (lightly, if you have a sensitive stomach) and are well-hydrated before arriving. Feel free to bring a drink and a snack; we take breaks during sessions, so you’ll have time to recharge.
Pain Management
You can take Tylenol 30-45 minutes before your session to help reduce pain and swelling. If you’re considering using numbing creams, please consult with us first to get approval from your artist.
Body Hair and Shaving
We will shave the tattooed area at the appointment. There’s no need to feel self-conscious about body hair—our studio is a judgment-free zone!
Skin Preparation
It’s a good idea to keep your skin in great condition leading up to your session. However, on the day of your appointment, avoid using lotions, creams, self-tanner, or oils on the area to be tattooed.
Dress Comfortably
Wear loose, comfortable clothing that you don’t mind potentially staining. We provide pillows during your session, but you’re welcome to bring a blanket, pillow, or stuffed animal for extra comfort.
Support Person
You can bring a support person if current health guidelines permit. Please ensure they are kind, respectful, and supportive.
Rescheduling Due to Illness
If you’re experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 or any other contagious illness (such as the flu, RSV, or strep throat), please reach out to reschedule. Being healthy is essential for your tattoo to heal properly. Your artist may also need to reschedule due to illness, family matters, or other circumstances; we appreciate your flexibility and understanding.
If you have any other questions, don’t hesitate to reach out!
Bandage Care
Keep the original bandage on for UP TO 48 hours unless otherwise instructed. We suggest removing the bandage after 24 hours. To remove, use a warm compress for 10 minutes or remove in a warm shower.
Wash your hands thoroughly before touching your tattoo. Gently remove the bandage. Wash the tattoo with clean hands using a mild, fragrance-free soap (glycerin or castile). Do not use a washcloth or loofah. Rinse well and pat dry with a clean, lint-free paper towel or air dry. If you decide to recover the tattoo, use gauze and medical tape. Apply a thin layer of silver wound gel before recovering.
Change daily or anytime wet/dirty. At each change: wash hands, clean tattoo, dry fully, apply a thin layer of Silver Hydro-Wound Gel, and re-cover with clean gauze. Keep the gauze on as long as the tattoo is oozing or still an open wound.
After Final Bandage Removal
Wash 1–2 times daily with gentle, fragrance-free soap. Pat dry. Apply a thin layer of Silver Hydro-Wound Gel, then a thin layer of A&D. Continue to apply the A&D after the wound gel runs out. For the next 3–5 days, monitor moisture levels and apply thin layers as needed. After the 3-5 days, you can switch to a gentle lotion (CeraVe, Eucerin) or light body oils (coconut oil, shea butter) for continued moisture. Over-application can suffocate the skin; under-moisturizing may cause excess scabbing, peeling, itching, and ink loss. DO NOT USE NEOSPORIN, BACITRACIN, or anything else that contains these ingredients without consulting with your medical provider.
Scabbing
Mild scabbing is normal. Do not pick or scratch, as this can cause bleeding, infection, or ink loss.
General Care
Always use clean hands. Avoid fragranced products. Avoid swimming, hot tubs, baths, and long hot showers for at least 2 weeks. Avoid working out for at least 48 hours. Use clean linens and towels. Avoid sleeping with pets while healing. Keep out of direct sunlight and avoid tanning beds or self-tanners for 2 weeks. Wear loose clothing and avoid strenuous activity that may irritate the area.
After Healing
Once fully healed (typically 2–3 weeks), apply sunscreen when outdoors to preserve color. We’ll follow up to see how it’s settled and see if it needs a touch up. Touch ups are common, even when tattoos are applied perfectly, and are not included in the price of the tattoo unless a technical error has occurred. Please talk to the shop manager or your artist for more information.
Normal vs. Concerning Symptoms
Normal (up to one week): mild redness, swelling, irritation, oozing, light scabbing.
Seek medical care if you experience increasing pain or swelling, worsening redness after 24–48 hours, fever, red streaks, or pus.
If you have questions or concerns, contact your tattoo artist. If you believe you need medical care, seek it immediately.
All art is subject to copyright protection for the artist that created it.
Therefore, if you bring a design to be tattooed without any modifications or customization, you must have written consent from the original artist to use it.
We price artwork out by each piece, and factors include size, color and detail level. Price quotes are good for 90 days from the date given.
Please contact us directly for price quotes, consults or to request a session.
In order to book an appointment and begin the process of drawing a custom creation, we require a deposit of 25% of the estimated price of the tattoo up front, or $50 for any tattoo price of $200 or less.
DEPOSITS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE. When a client reserves a session, we allocate resources, plan schedules, & invest time in designing the artwork to ensure a safe, unique & personalized experience. If a client is unable to complete their session (or the artist refuses service as described below), the deposit helps offset these costs & compensates for the time spent.
If a deposit is given, a design is provided, and a new consultation is needed (which is determined at the artist's discretion), client must attend the new consultation. If client no shows or cancels the new consultation without rescheduling, the deposit will not transfer, and any future sessions will require a new deposit. It is at the artist's discretion to continue to work with a client who no shows or cancels without intention of rescheduling.
Deposits are valid for up to one (1) year from the date of payment. If the tattoo session is not completed within this timeframe, the deposit will be forfeited.

We do our best to keep the studio calm, comfortable, and focused. If you’re planning to bring a larger group for support, please reach out to us ahead of time so we can make sure the space is set up to accommodate you.
For everyone’s safety and comfort, we kindly ask that young children stay home during appointments.
We are a no-pet studio. If you have a service animal, please contact us prior to your session so we can make any necessary arrangements and ensure the environment is safe and comfortable for you, your animal, and our artists.
While we do our best to accommodate our clients, our tattoo artists reserve the right to reschedule your session if you are more than 15 minutes behind schedule. This policy is in place to honor the time of both our clients and our artists.
Additionally, being repeatedly late may lead to the cancellation of your session without the ability to reschedule, and any deposits given will be forfeit and non-transferable.
We will assess minor tattoos individually, starting from a minimum age of 17. An in-studio consultation is required for minors, and whether to proceed with the design will be up to the artist’s discretion.
To preserve the minor's safety, legal guardians must prove their status with documentation, provide notarized consent, and will be required to attend the tattoo session(s).
Tattoo touch-ups will be evaluated on an as-needed basis and priced at a lower rate than our standard tattoo fees. Additionally, from time to time, our artists may choose to offer complimentary touch-up sessions at their discretion.
Your satisfaction with your tattoo is our priority, and we aim to ensure your ink remains vibrant and pristine over time.
Lidocaine Risks
We reserve the right to decline service under ANY circumstances, as deemed necessary by the artist(s) or manager, as we prioritize the well-being of our clients and staff. This includes (but is not limited to):
Please note that deposits for tattoo appointments are non-refundable, and refusal of service may also negate the ability to reschedule - this is also at the artist's discretion.
This policy aims to enhance the quality and availability of our consultation services while minimizing disruptions caused by no-shows.
We will absolutely work with you if you need to reschedule or cancel within 24 hours, but we need effective communication to do so!
If you have any questions or require further clarification, please do not hesitate to contact us.
